--first commit to restructure editMode in order to
support livemode under editing. Live mode means
that all options changes during editMode will be
available to be tested directly

--there were cases for small screen resolutions
that because the view settings windows did not
change its height, it was not changing its placement
to the side of the screen
--in order to update window manager flags properly
in some cases a dock recreation is needed. But that
dock recreation when takes place when the user choses
to move its panel between different screens (that recreation
shouldnt be needed) in such case it creates crashes
