--Latte now identifies what is the maximum transparency
provided by a plasma theme and uses that information
in order to provide full solidness if needed by the
Background Opacity option (meaning 100% should be totally
solid)
--I reversed the logic meaning that the Latte panel
background painting in more important than the Plasma
original SVG painting. That way the animations between
panels painting become smoother with no glitches
BUG: 408552
--when dragging a new applet over the view
the responsiveness is now improved vastly
--the new architecture uses two different
DragAndDropAreas. One which is the old one
and is used when dragged launchers, urls and
separators. The second is used only when
applets are dragged into the view
--the visuals for adding launchers/applets have
been improved and a circular visual is preferred
now instead
--following plasma approach and use always
even for !compositing mode the widgets/panel-background
svg file. This way when Latte and Plasma panels are
combined there is uniformity between them.
BUG: 406597
--this patch positions correctly behaveAsPanel view
types in !compositing mode concerning and taking into
account maxLength and offset
--the patch introduces also an AppletsContainer to
substitute all three layouts of LayoutsContainer
--there is now an always shown underlying layer that
provides full solidness for 100% panel transparency
--Colorizer.CustomBackground was updated in order to
support Borders drawing
--enable shadows by default on startup otherwise
the FrameSvgItem sets is imagepath to "" and that
can create a crash during loading/unloading a
layout
--in order to overlay properly the panel background
a roundness option was needed that takes into account
which borders should be drawn. In an upcoming commit
the user will be able to adjut the current plasma
theme roundness. The Colorizer is using now the
CustomBackground in order to draw the background
when the user wants to draw the contents based on
the current active window color scheme.
--support painting based on the active window scheme.
Added a schemecolors class for this and updated
abstractwindowinterface to provide tracking for windows
color schemes.
when the plasma theme was not supporting shadows then
Latte was double drawing the panel background when
the user has chosen that wanted shadows
BUG: 397980
FIXED-IN: 0.8.1
--many plasma themes provide a different panel
background per edge, with different styles or
transparency levels. Latte now respects the
plasma theme concerning the panel backgrounds
found in a plasma theme.
--the background contrast effect should be applied
only when the dock/panel is visually solid otherwise
it may block the transparency settings
BUG: 397431
FIXED-IN: v0.8.1
--implementation of the design decisions described at
issue #957. Panel Background and Dynamic Background
options interact with each other concerning
panel transparency and triggering of solidness or
transparency.
--when the user has disabled the panel background
but has enabled a solid background for maximized windows
then in such case the panel background must be enabled
for when it is needed
